After college, despite the heavy workload as a CPA and adjunct tax professor, Eric has always made time for writing. Whether it be while riding on the subway commute to work or upon awakening on an early Saturday morning, Eric wrote whenever a plot or idea inspired him. To hone his craft, he took additional creative writing courses and joined a writers group. He drew on some personal experiences when he wrote When My World Got Turned Upside Down, which features an overworked accountant who hears strange, but familiar voices. He also reclaimed some of his poetic writing roots as he penned some rhyming poems, but this time with an element of mystery and suspense.
All told, Eric has written over thirty mystery and suspense stories, which include poems, flash fiction, short stories, and novellas. His short stories have been published in multiple locations, including Ascent Aspirations Magazine, Burst Literary E-Zine, and Conceit Magazine. He has published three books, each made up of collections of his favorite short stories. They are Murder in a Country Town and other stories, Murder in a Coastal Town and other stories, and Murder in a Snow Covered Town and other stories.
In 2011, Eric broke away from the mystery and suspense genre to write his first novel, Trying to Win at Love. This book gave Eric the opportunity to write about one of his passions, competitive league tennis. This engaging and inspiring tennis story features elements of drama, romance, and humor. Eric hopes that readers create personal value from the book's lessons about competition, relationships, health, and life itself.
Eric lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. He loves tennis, river rafting, hiking, dogs, and a well-told story.
